Taking walks at night brings me a distinct feeling of an “indirect communication” with the city. One night, I happened upon a flickering light in a back alley and began to understand Kierkegaard's philosophy. Since then I’ve been looking for flickering lights that seem to want to be noticed. It seems as if they are speaking a language, as if their flickering is sending signals which become a dialogue within the late night city.
