This work is a self-exploratory project, a journey in search of a forgotten memory. The so-called "forgotten memory", is a non-existed existence, a gap in a timeline. I work with two tunnels showcase two states of mind chasing back to a memory. Also inspired by the film "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind", I tried to think from the perspective of the protagonist Joel, who erased his ex-girlfriend by undergoing a medical procedure, part of his monologue is written on the pedestal.

Cheung Yee Kwan, Sonia
Cheung Yee Kwan graduated from The Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. Base in Fukuoka, Japan. Using moving images and installation as her mediums, she often walks adrift in the city and finds herself attracted to the subtleties of mundane motion and inconspicuous objects which translate for her into a psychological experience. Her works explore themes of isolation, memory, and the destruction that always accompanies transformation. She represents these themes through methods of communication and in the nexus between humans and city space.
Cheung’s solo exhibitions include “Hidden Electromagnetic Waves” at FreeS Art Space (Taipei, 2024), “The Place We Come from, The Place We Are Going to” at Kyushu Geibun Kan Museum (Fukuoka, 2024) and “The Place We Come from, The Place We Are Going to” at Artas Gallery (Fukuoka, 2022).
